Since it's founding in 2007 Pita Place has offered authentic Mediterranean cuisine, with a royal background. Pita Places owner Fred, moved to America in 1987 from Iran: where his father served as a chef for the Middle Eastern royal family. At a young age Fred shadowed his father in learning culinary arts.
Upon Fred's arrival in America he was employed by various restaurants in the Tulsa area. After over a decade of cooking in Tulsa, Fred took it upon himself to open his very own restaurant named Shish Kabobs. In 1997 Shish Kabobs opened at 31st and Garnett. After 12 years of success at Shish Kabobs the publics demand lead Fred to open a south Tulsa location, thus the beginning of Pita Place.
In 2010 Shish Kabobs was sold so Fred could devote his time to perfecting Pita Place. With elements and recipes from Fred's fathers royal cooking repertoire Fred's cooking has been featured in the Best Of The Best Of Oklahoma Magazine, many articles and recived the best of the best award in 2010. To this day Pita Place offers the best and most authentic mediterranean cuisine that you can find in Tulsa and the surrounding areas.
